PROSTATE SPECIFIC ANTIGEN (PSA)

PRODUCT SOURCE: Seminal Fluid

PRESENTATION: Supplied as a solution in 0.05M phosphate buffer pH 7.5, containing 0.15M NaCl and 0.09% NaN₃. Sterile filtered through a 0.2m M membrane.

SPECIFICATION: >96% Purity. 0.5 – 5 mg PSA per ml pI range 6.2 – 6.5

ANALYSIS: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis shows one band only, indicating g Electrophoretic mobility. SDS-PAGE shows a tight cluster of bands, corresponding to a Molecular weight of approx. 30 KD Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID) Protein determination by the method of Lowry

STORAGE & STABILITY: To be stored at 2 – 8° C. DO NOT FREEZE.

VIRALS: Starting material is tested and found negative for, Anti HIV 1&2; Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies by FDA approved methods.
